Unlocking potential through strategic, systematic wellbeing implementation

Who we’ve partnered with

Our school wellbeing operating system

Just as every complex organisation needs an operating system to coordinate its moving parts, schools need one to connect people, processes, and purpose. swOS brings clarity, consistency, and coherence – turning wellbeing from something schools do occasionally into something they live intentionally – every day, by everyone.

Decades of research in neuroscience, psychology and education show that students and teachers flourish when wellbeing is embedded across the system – not siloed. When all four partners – leaders, educators, students, and families – are aligned, outcomes improve: academic achievement, emotional regulation, engagement, and retention all rise.

A wellbeing Operating System isn’t a luxury – it’s evidence-based, data-driven infrastructure.

Who we work with

our story

The Wellbeing Distillery was founded by educators David Bott and Justin Robinson, whose journey began at Geelong Grammar School—home to the world’s pioneering Positive Education movement. What started as a bold idea inside those buzzing halls has grown into a modern wellbeing organisation that has partnered with over 550 schools across 26 countries.

Drawing on decades of classroom practice, leadership experience, psychological research, and global influence, The Wellbeing Distillery helps schools move beyond wellbeing as a program and towards wellbeing as a strategic operating system. Through our School Wellbeing Operating System (swOS), we provide a clear and sustainable framework that integrates wellbeing into leadership, teaching, learning, and family engagement—ensuring it is not an add-on, but a deeply embedded foundation across school life.

Our team has trained thousands of educators, advised governments, spoken on global stages, and helped define the field of wellbeing education. We believe the future of education requires more than enthusiasm—it requires evidence, strategy, and systemic clarity. That is what we deliver: science-infused, future-focused wellbeing—distilled for clarity, designed for scale, and delivered with heart. We are not here to repeat what has already been done.

We are here to define what comes next.

Real Results. Proven wellbeing impact.

We don’t just teach and embed wellbeing – we measure it.

Across school communities, our tools and services create measurable, lasting change in how leaders, educators+, students, and families feel, perform and connect.

The Wellbeing COMPASS

The Wellbeing Compass is a whole-school insight system that collects data from every key partner group – leaders, educators, students and families – to help you understand how wellbeing is experienced across your community. Powered by the School Wellbeing Operating System (swOS), it translates wellbeing from a concept into clear, measurable drivers of school success.

Powered by the School Wellbeing Operating System (swOS), it translates wellbeing from a concept into clear, measurable drivers of school success.

We help you:

  • Gather powerful, comparitive data across all stakeholder groups
  • See alignment and disconnects between intention and experience
  • Identify the key levers that will have the greatest impact
  • Receive clear, evidence-based priorities that feed directly into your wellbeing strategy through swOS

The final outcome? Certainty. Instead of assumptions or scattered initiatives, you gain a strategic pathway based on real data – making every decision intentional, targeted, and aligned with your whole-school wellbeing vision.

You’ll leave with practical tools, case studies, and a professional credential that signals your expertise in leading wellbeing at scale.

THE WELLBEING QUADRANT

The Wellbeing Quadrant is a colleague-wellbeing insight and planning tool that makes it clear who is responsible for what when it comes to caring for your people.

It brings together two powerful ideas – that wellbeing is both profoundly personal and shaped by school systems, and that promoting wellbeing is different from preventing illbeing – and turns them into a simple four-quadrant map for your educators and operational staff.

By clarifying individual and organisational responsibilities, it reveals where current efforts are landing, where the gaps are, and turns those insights into a practical, co-designed Wellbeing Action Plan for colleagues.

WELLBEING FRAMEWORKS

We design signature wellbeing frameworks that are unique to each school – frameworks that reflect your culture, distil your values, and clearly define what wellbeing means in your context.

Drawing on our work with leading government schools like McKinnon Secondary College and independent schools like Prince Alfred College, we translate your philosophy into a practical, science-informed model that creates strategic and operational cohesion and drives meaningful change across your whole community.
